Sizes & Capacities
These are representative SKUs from current tooling; confirm the exact drawing and lid fit before ordering. Smaller round formats are stocked as 1 oz metal tins; larger gift and bulk formats as large tin containers. A taller, cylindrical body — outside this shallow category — is sold separately as cylinder options.

Round Tin Lid Styles
Round tins are tooled to one of four closures — a lid built for one body size will not fit a different one without checking the drawing.
-
Flat Lid
Rigid and stackable, making it suitable for retail printing. A shallower option is available as flat tins.
-
Window Lid
A clear panel shows the contents, but the cut-out reduces the printable lid area.
-
Slip Lid
Friction-fit and cost-effective, best suited to gifts and favors rather than shipped or frequently resealed goods.
-
Screw Lid
Threaded for repeat use and a tighter seal. See screw-lid jar options and the screw-top closure guide for size and seal details.
-
Hinged Lid
A non-removable attached lid, available as hinged tin boxes.
Materials & Finishes
Bodies form in aluminum or tinplate steel. Tinplate gauge, aluminum alloy grade, and interior coating are confirmed per product rather than published as one fixed spec, since wall thickness changes with tin size and lid type.
Finish options include matte, glossy, metallic, and spot varnish. Certifications such as food-grade or FDA status are not published for this line — request material and coating documentation with your inquiry if your product needs it. Tinplate construction extends into taller formats sold as wholesale tinplate containers, and other lid-equipped shapes are grouped under tin containers with lids.
Custom Printing & Embossing
Branding runs through screen or label printing, laser marking, full-color print, or embossed and debossed detail from a matched die. Vector artwork — AI, EPS, or vector PDF — reproduces embossed edges and fine text more accurately than raster files; curved bodies and seams still limit how much fine detail holds.
Round bodies form on a roll-and-seam line before the lid is crimped on, a step detailed further in the round tin box naming guide.

FAQ

MOQ, sample lead time, and production timing depend on the tin size, lid style, decoration method, tooling, and order quantity — there is no flat rate across all formats, so these are confirmed after DOLYPACK reviews your drawing and artwork.
